Susan SpillerI have had a passion for jewelry for forever. I have worked with many mediums and for the past 6 years I have been pursuing the wonderful world of beads. I make a lot of my own beads so I can make truly unique and very textural pieces of art jewelry.

I make lampwork glass beads, clay beads, wire beads, beaded wire beads, peyote stitched and embellished beads, and ruffle beads. I am always looking for new ways to make interesting beads. I also incorporate natural stone beads, crystals and cultured pearls in my jewelry. I love making one of a kind pieces of jewelry and I think my work reflects the joy and fun I have in their creation.

Besides lampwork beads, I am also creating fused glass beads which have a very different look to them. I cut out pieces of glass and layer them, put them in a kiln and fuse fire them. I use transparent, opaque, and dichroic glass for fusing - beads, bowls, plates, and just art pieces.
